Malbros represents the Founding Family and the 100-year legacy of the Malde Brothers. It serves as the Mother Brand and Seal of Quality for Mjengo Limited, one of Kenya’s largest FMCG Companies, under the leadership of Mr. Raj Malde who is a third-generation entrepreneur with an in-depth business exposure.

Mjengo Limited was established in 1991 with the intention to wholesale in building materials. It soon saw more potential and diversified to trading in commodities, and later emphasis on distribution of locally manufactured goods.

With the onset of margin depletion in the trading business & less profitability, the Company restructured its entire Business plan for sustainable business growth from 2001. More focus was given on Distribution & Development of its own Branded Products.

My dream was to be like my grandfather, who was a well-respected and accomplished businessman. He was a formidable man who touched countless hearts through his humanitarian efforts and is my inspiration to build this company in the footprints of his legacy.

My family’s 100-year legacy has fabricated a remarkable number of businesses such as the first Graphite Mine in East Africa, City Breweries, and a lucrative run in the fuel/petroleum industry.

Mjengo Limited is an organisation that believes in Quality without compromise, and over the last few years we have consistently developed a range of unique and innovative products that have astounded many of our competitors and stakeholders.
